Default PERFORM SERVICE DISPLAY

I just Purchaed a 2005 Pacifica Limited

When I turn the Car on the Display Screen on the left Says --- Perform Service & then it dissapears. - I have 42,200 Miles on it --- Question -- does this mean at 42,000 Miles it is telling me to get a routein Service ?

Thanks

This usually means the service interval has been hit. You can change the interval using the buttons on the dash, don't remember the exact sequence, but think you press menu to get to it and then step to change it.

Yes, you can set service intervals. I have ours set for 5000 miles to do oil changes. It's basically a reminder. You have to reset it after you do the service. Just did mine last night.
