Rear shocks..... WTF!
 
Mine are shot in a 05 and each shock is over $300 each...!! any alternatives??

Yea thx i knew all that, but was wondering if there was a store/site/brand know one knew about that was cheaper.... guess not.

Yeah, the load leveling shocks are crazy expensive. I would imagine that you could put standard shocks in it but do you want to do that? I believe that I saw them for as low as $250 when I was looking into it. Try ebay but make sure that you get the right ones and can return them if they aren't.

When mine went bad the local dealership mech said it was a fluke. He said the same ones where on the mini van and he had only replaced one. With that I found a set in a junk yard for $35 each. Only one was bad but for that price I bought both and have one for a spare. Compressing them was a PITA. I had to use a large ratchet strap and hold it with wire to get it in place. Two years now and no problems.
