Removing the radio

I have a chrysler pacifica 2007. I just bought a new radio from ebay and wanted to install it! No I do not know how do do this but I have see a youtube video on how to install the new radio! My question is this! How do I get the factory radio out? I need to know if anyone can tell me how to remove the old radio that came with my pacifica and install the new one! any help I would really enjoy! I also want to install a backup license plate camera and a flip down monitor! I am completely lost at where to start. I talked to someone and they want about $400 dollars to install it. I have everything and I do not think it is a $400 dollar job!

Although I have never done it, I have seen pictures here and there. The panles on each side of the radio pop off. You might need to pop off the trim around the ignition first. I can email you a pdf that shows roughly how to get it out. what's your email or see if this photo helps you.

Correct, remove the ignition trim first and then take a trim tool and pry the side panels off. They come of real easy. Four screws for the radio are underneath.

Not sure about your model year, but on our '04, I had to remove the shift knob and the trim piece around it before I could take the side panels off. I had to move the shift lever down to autostick to get the set screw out of the shift knob, it faces the radio. Hope that helps.
