Thoughts on Additional Standard Features
Now that I have owned my 06’ Pacifica (base model) for a week, I find there are a few things that should be standard on all Pacifica models. Please feel free to add to the list. Maybe Chrysler will consider these on future models.
- Day Time Running lights - Automatic Head Lights - Temp gauge on all models |

You know I have an 06 as well and I have all those options except daytime running lights it's called an LIMITED!!. You some times have to pay for the things you won't in life just a thought.

RE: Thoughts on Additional Standard Features
You miss out on a few items with the Touring, but have the option of adding them. I for one don't care for daylight running lights and can turn on my headlights if it would make me feel safer. The Limited has just about every option that one could ask for. I don't like the fact that Chrysler has cut out the availabity of a dark interior, especially if you order a black car. Iam the owner ofan '04 Pacifica AWDthat I purchased new. The Limited was not offered then, but mine has more features than most other Manufacts. offered on their crossovers in that year of production. The ACURAMDX did not even offer the power lift gate in '04 (The MDX was a much more expensive vehicle then and still is)and now you have to order the Entertainment package from ACURA to get a power lift gate..and that really costs you bucks. I hope Chrysler does not axe the '09 Pacifica...Chrysler, are you listening? There is not another sport touring vehicle as roomy as the Pacifica except for the R Class from the big Merc...many more big bucks. This Pacifica has a lot of potential and should never be confused with a Town & Country. It looks like it has some class. We need a 2009 and Chrysler needs to get the right idea about just what potential they have in the Pacifica. So far I believe that it has been poorly marketed, has been overlooked and has a great future in the Chrysler line-up. Just about every owner that I have talked to loves their Pacifica and I get only positive comments on my '04 from all who are lucky to get a ride in it. I will most likely order an '08 soon, but really hate to let go of my black on black...they don't offer the black interior anymore....what a shame. The '08 is more powerful and looks sharp as well, but I hate that they omitted the dual exhaust. It should be standard on the Limited. Chrysler...listen to your owners.

Wrong forum I know, but I have an 06 T&C and just assummed it had Automatic Headlights. Found that out the first night to my surprise. I thought all new cars had that now.

RE: Thoughts on Additional Standard Features
Because Chrysler LLC needs to make Chrysler a "for profit company" after MB took all the cream out of the company. The Pacifica was and is costing more to product than what they make in other models. In a way the pacifica is a odd bird. The Pacifica is not a true SUV or a crossover, and it sure is not a mini van. All these I have seen used to discribe the Pacifica in Auto magizines in the last month. To see what kind of profit making vehicles DXX thought was up to their standard just look at the cheap plastic used in the Caliber, Compass, and Patriot! Even the Avenger, Charger, and Sebring haver cheap feeling and looking plastic all over inside. The Pacifica has the nicest interior of any of the current models that Chrysler LLC now makes. That's how I see it anyway.
Our pacifica gets very good fuel mileage and it rides as smootherthan any car we ever have owned. We are retired and this is a perfect vehicle for us.One thing I dont like about the Pacifica.....it's not paid for yet. farout |
