timing belt change

ok so what is the timing belt change interval? this site has a bunch of belt change intervals but nothing for the pacifica 3.5l engine looks like it is an interference engine. so must be chrysler never expected this car to go past 105000 miles!

Timing belt intervals for Chrysler

* - Interference engine.

** - Free-wheeling, Valve to valve interference possible if camshafts are rotated independently.

(1) - Manufacturer does not recommend a specific maintenance interval.

7 year/100,000 miles Age and miles are a factor. Many horror stories as the 3.5 since 98 is an interference engine. I have changed dozens of belts, always "look" ok but if and when they fail valves will bend.

that may be what most people do and i tend to agree on that matter but what is confusing is on the web site that show invals for changing that belt

the pacifica has no recommended change interview. this is what that site had to say just like i posted above. don't get me wrong i plan on changing it, but there really is not standard time for changing these belts. on that site they are all over the place for mileage. you would think that a belt of this nature would have a standard change interval. anyway thanks for the input. bp
