Transmission Stutter from 0-30mph

Hello,
I have noticed a rather annoying transmission symptom of my 2007 Pacifica 4.0L. As I increase speed from a stop to 25at about 20-25mph the transmission stutters/shudders. Once you get to 25-30 it slowly goes away. I have noticed this mostly in our subdivision since the driving is consistant every day but notice it at other speeds and other locations as well.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is it common?

Thanks!
DT

Sounds like the torque converter! This has been an on going issue with the 6 speed tranny. They will replace it for free, bring it in for service.

Good luck. I had my torque converter replaced and I am still having the issue. Mine happens when the tranny is warm and RPM range is 1500 to 1800. Car is currently back in the shop. Dealer has had it for 7 days now (i.e., tranny and front suspension clucking) Dealer claims they cannot find anything wrong, eventhough I took the tech for a ride and he experianced the issues first hand.

Wow, thanks! is there a TSB or anything i should reference for the torque convertor when i drop it off?

About this front suspension clunking, mine feels and sounds a little lose. is the clunking you refer to a loud single clunk or more af a suspension rattle?

As far as the front end clunking it could be the axle bolts need to be re torqued. This has been known to happen often. I have a PDF which explains how to do the fix. It's not that difficult. Whoever is interested in the how-to just send me your email and I will send the PDF to you otherwise have the dealer check the torque. Good luck!

It is more of a suspension rattle. I only hear it when going slow over small ripples in the road. It almost sounds like a strut is loose.

Please post what your dealer finds. I would really like to know if you get your rattle taken care of and what the resolution is. Thanks
