VIP Summary Report
Hi,
Just purchased 2004 Pacifica and would like to get a build list of equipment installed in the car, I think it may still be called the VIP Summary Report. Thanks |
Yes it is......
Any dealership can provide you with one, provided you can prove your Identity, and you can prove ownership of the vehicle. It is VIN specific. Unfortunately, the summary report will not go into the great detail that Im sure you are looking for. What you want is the Build sheet, but that will take decoding skills and reference materials that are far beyond the scope of "Joe Motorist". Depending on state laws, this may or may not be available to you, so check with your dealership. |
Went to my local dealer, he was clueless at first he said he could not do it, then he tried and could not figure out how to print it from his computer, I will try Chrysler.com.
Thanks |
As a Tech, the VIP summary is stapled to EVERY repair order I touch. So I doubt He was as clueless as it seemed.
Problem here is....Depending on what state you live in, The "Right to Privacy " act comes into play with personal info.....Not only will VIP list the options on your vehicle, but the Names and addresses of prior owners, Lien holders on the vehicle title, and such. As I mentioned, I get one stapled to the repair order, But my instructions are clear..."Guard it with your life." |
