Been using 87 in all my vehicle. You will never see, feel, gain anything with 89 expect pay more at the pump.

awdtootall: many thanks. That can save my money.
I have another question about the spark plug remove. Do you have ever changed the spark plug by yourself? I read this post from another forum, which is exactly the same as service manual. REMOVAL Always remove the ignition coil assembly by grasp-ing at the spark plug boot, turning the assembly 1/2 turn and pulling straight back in a steady motion. (1) Disconnect the negative battery cable. (2) Front Plugs - Remove the intake manifold, (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/MANIFOLDS/INTAKE MANI-FOLD - REMOVAL). REMOVAL (4) Prior to removing the ignition coils, spray com-pressed air around the coil area and spark plug. On 3.5L engines, it is necessary to loosen the screws by alternating back and forth. Do not lose the spacers under the coil when loosening the screws. (5) Remove spark plug. INSTALLATION (1) To avoid cross threading, start the spark plug into the cylinder head by hand. (2) Tighten spark plugs. (3) Install ignition coil assembly onto spark plug. (4) Hand tighten coil screws. (5) Refer to the torque chart for torque specifica-tion. (6) Connect and lock the electrical connector. (7) Front Plugs - Install the intake manifold, (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/MANIFOLDS/INTAKE MANI-FOLD - INSTALLATION) ( Connect the negative battery cable. I am wondering why the instruction only mentions the front plugs? How about the area plugs? Any advice or suggestions? thank you in advance. My pac is 75k so i think it's time to change plugs. |
RE: what fuel shoud I add?
How many miles do you have on her? They say that the plugs are supposed to last until 100k...or was it 75k? Sorry, I see that you have 75k.

RE: what fuel shoud I add?
yes, it has 75k miles on it. My mechanic told me the same thing. I heard changing spark plugs may improve the gas mileage. That's the reason I want to change the plugs.
