02 PT overheating problem

Ok I have a 02 PT Crusier 2.4 Auto, ok we just recently drove to colorado an as we got into CO my pt started to overheat... when I turn the A/C on, the temp rises in seconds...so i have to drive around without a/c :( then after about 20-30min's of driving it will overheat if i dont turn the heat on.. so I took it to firestone an they replaced my thermostat, flushed my cooling system, and the fan swith. It continued to overheat, i took it to a dealership an they said to replace the rad cap and I did..which helped quite a but still overheated.. ( Now it should be known that the highest the temp is the second line from the middle) i drove the car back to flordia. an still is doin the same thing.. it has not thrown an codes but iam gonna have a scanner hooked up to see though...I have also checked for oil in my water an water in my oil so Iam stumped as to wat is the problem

Is the cooling fan coming on?

What is the coolant level doing when it is over heating is it still full or did you loose fluid.

Do you see any leaks?

"Now it should be known that the highest the temp is the second line from the middle"

Not sure what you mean by that, but if the temp goes up to a point above the middle a little and stays there, that doesn't mean it's overheating. When they replaced the thermostat they may have put in a slightly hotter stat meaning the car will run a little warmer.

After flushing the system and replacing the stat, the only other thing that comes to mind is a bad radiator hose. The lining can sometimes separate inside the hose and fold over resulting in an obstruction. After 7 years, you might consider replacing them.
