04 pt crusier cut off while driving

My 04 pt cruiser cut off while driving on the freeway and has not started since. I just got the timing belt, timing tensioner, water pump and crankshaft position sensor replaced also.I just had my baby and I have no transportation to get anywhere I need to know what to do with it so I can drive it again. I'm not sure if the timing jumped it will crank but not start.

any codes in the computer?

Acult 08-13-2014 02:15 AM

OK try disconnecting the battery terminals and holding a wrench to them(not the battery posts but the wires) this will reset the cars computer. If that doesn't work hold the mileage rest button as you turn the car on. Just turn it on don't crank it over. you can also take your key and turn the car off and on about two or three times without cranking it over and it will show the error codes where the mileage write fast and some post them here.:D;)

mmm you are aware that when u disconnect the battery all the codes will be erased?

Ryan Przytula 08-13-2014 03:33 PM

Yes it had three codes p0499,p0522,p0335

CHRYSLER TECH 08-13-2014 11:21 PM

the 335 will be why it stalled on you
Crank shaft postilion sensor circuit.
who did the work? if it was a shop I take it back to them and let them fix what is messed up because it could like a cheap part or something of that nature,

Ryan Przytula 08-14-2014 06:55 PM

I did the sensor myself but all the other work was someone else I just don't know y it would cut off and not start could the timing be off?

CHRYSLER TECH 08-14-2014 07:23 PM

I just told u what the code was I doubt its timing it more then likely a cheap ass sensor
