05 Pt cruiser random issues not running
 

I have a 05 Pt Cruiser Convertible with turbo, purchased this car about two weeks ago with no issues until this afternoon when I drove it to the bank. Drove there just fine, when I went to start it to leave it ran for a few moments misfiring then cut off engine light, air bag light and security light came on tach was stuck at 1k rpm for a few minutes after it cut off then went to 0... tried disconnecting battery and that didnt help now the windows dont work.... from some research ive done points toward the pcm being bad,,, looking for any advice or tips that might point me in the right direction. John I have the last post with the wiring problem to trace. Probably an identical car to yours. You may be right about the PCM but I would start with battery condition and tracing some ground wires which also could cause those symptoms. I have had a few PT's and electrical connections at the battery and ground are quite finicky. Jiggs
