batterey

will a group 35 or h5 battery fit in 07 model?

ggoose Feb 21, 2025 11:27 AM

No

The issue with the PT is the battery terminals are reversed, the 'R' on 26R. So while the battery may fit in the tray, the battery cables will not reach their respective battery terminals regardless of how the battery is placed in the tray.

Unfortunately, I have found, that the pictures on a website do not always match the actual item.

As noted, battery size may be comparable but terminal orientation is critical. The battery cables are sized to reach the OE terminal configuration and not an inch more.

I suggest an actual side-by-side comparison.

sound advice. I will do that. you'd be amazed at how many people disagree that the only batterey that will work is the 26r.
just because that's that'came in it . they think I'm silly for wanting more cranking amps and cca. or a agm batterey. I do not want my child stranded

update . the h5 batterey fits better than original. and car starts now . after siting a few days .
I did do a parasite draw test . and it shows 0.49.
I'm assuming that's ok and for memory functions. thoughts?
