Default New PT Owner, lot's of questions.

Hello, tonight my wife brought her dream car, she has been longing for a PT Crusier. We have been shopping for a used one for a few months and this week we found a 2002 Limited Edition in red with 17.000 miles on it, mint condition. I was looking for info on what type of aftermarket stereo setup are you running. What type of sub are you using and were did you place it. Also any information about the PT that a new owner should know.

well i just have a radio in mine i have a 2005 pt conv. it sounds really good too.
as for the four doo i think they have a sub as an accessory it mounts in the 1/4 panel.
its a great little car nothing really goes that wron with them do the regular amint. and all should be good
ohh yeah i said this before somwehre but as for spark plugs dcx has a hotter plug for some of them but for the wires price the set of 4 and then price them individually you will be surprised to find out that they are cheaper to buy individually rather then the set.
if its the 2.4 turbo then they have a stage 1 kit for an upgrade but no stage 2 upgrade kit yet.

the pt cruiser is what i will buy next. these things are incredibly nice and would look so nice dumped on 18's 19's or 20's
although this forum is a paid access site you can still veiw the threads last time i checked.

Today I find out that it cost $79 to get a new key and remote programmed for the PT. Then I wanted a locking gas cap and it's $49. It's a special cap that gets programmed and fitted to work of your ignition key. They don't have a normal locking cap with a normal key, like everyone else. Even my 2005 Magnum's locking gas cap only cost $15.

Mine is the 2.4 Turbo, what is the stage 1 kit?

the keys are a bit pricey but it does give you a discount on your ins rates .
my advise though dont lose the keys
i have a 2005 pt conv 5 speed and i can say they are peppy little cars as well
