05 t&c door and door lock

My folks have a 05 t&c with the automatic sliding doors, the sliders don't work
automatically but thats not the issue, the issue today is, I pulled off the trim panel to access the door lock actuator, now i have the door shut and the door will not open from outside or in, I thought it might be that door lock actuator needed to be plugged in, I tried that and the door still will not open, after I plugged the old actuator in the front driver door lock is now only working intermittently. Does anyone know what could be going on as far as the door not opening and the driver door lock not working properly now?

And the fix was???

For everyone else here's a collection of videos on sliding door and lock fixes. The second speaks to the wire bundle that commonly causes sliding door problems:

I work on heavy diesel so I don't know a ton about mini vans. I found out that there is a small pin that connects to the actuator once I got that in place the door opens from outside only. Not sure why not from inside but when we get the new actuator I'll figure it out. I found a video on YouTube from A1 auto. Still unsure about the driver door issue.
