1998 3.8 AWD judder when driving

Hi
I have had a look through the forum and found some similar faults but nothing exact to my problem. I have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 3.8 AWD 1998 (am located in Sweden) which has a strange judder when driving. It is just as if the engine dies for a fraction of a second. Tick over seems fine.

The Chrysler dealer surprised me by starting to fix the problem by replacing parts. So far just the spark plugs and leads(cables) have been replaced and I stopped the work as I do not want a large bill at the end of this. Cant they run some tests to pinpoint the problem?

I wondered about replacing the coil next as I read a thread where that fixed the issue. Where is the coil, any images of it? Also read that it could be the PCM? Any other suggestions?

Any help greatly appreciated as the budget is low!

Thanks
Ian

Hi
Funnily enough I found that thread as well. Any images as to where the CMP is and how to replace it? Would you say that was the culprit and a good choice to replace it?

I have put an additive in with the fuel today that supposedly cleans the injectors. I think this is the same as the Seafoam you mention. Did that have any effect?

Thanks
