1998 Voyager wont fire
 

I've finally got the Voyager home and had a bit of a look at it. With a fresh battery in it, when I first turned the key the fuel pump made a groaning type sound then stopped (i've never heard that noise before), when I cranked it it started briefly then stopped, seemed to me the fuel pump was not working, I also have spark at the leads.
Just dropped the tank and removed the pump and tested it on the bench it pumped what fuel was inside the unit out ok.
Could the pump be faulty anyway? Anything else to check.
