1999 2 litre Voyager LE Reliability

I have just purchased a one owner 1999 2.0 litre Vyager LE with 47,000 miles and full service history. £1000 was very reasonable for a near mint example, but after reading reviews on the internet I am worried about reliability.

There is mention of sudden failure of gearboxes, non stop oil leaks and electrical faults.

The car drives great and everything works as it should, but since reading reviews, I looked underneath and it does drip a bit of oil.

Are there any common oil leaks and things to look for?

I appreciate it is a heavy car, and consequently is rather slow. Going up a hill slows the car right down and you have to use the engine and gearbox more. Is this normal?

Are these cars good or total sheds?

Thank you.
