2.5 crd egr valve
Hi guys!i have voyager 2.5 crd and its smoking at hard acceleration, mostly black smoke.i think it could be stuck egr valve.but bleeding think is fitted in such a place!!!!anyone know correct procedure to remove it????ps im planning to blank it once i. Remove it.voyager is 2002.thank you
try just cleaning it first as this makes all the difference will smoke a little at first but will soon kick out the **** from your old exhaust and give u a tiny bit more bhp
btw its at the back at the top of your engine joined to the turbo held on by 4 bolts which are either 10 or 12mm its about 1/2hours work
Have you actually done it before?i just removed whole wiper assembly but still looks big job, everything is in the way.
Drove the car at night and it leaves loads of hazy smoke on acceleration only visible if i have a car behind me with headlights on.what can cause it?
Bad MAF or dirty fuelfilter. Changed my MAF and that sorted the smoky problem.
I tried to disconect map sensor, which is by the way veeeery dirty and one probe oo it is kinda wobbly not attached riggid to the sensor body,.with MAP disconnected car lights MIL light and drives in derate mode, but still is smoking that hazy smoke just less.what woories my is rough idle and knock from timing side knock continues until car gets to normal op.temperature.i think it may be leaking injector?plus car starts from cold with puff of pure white smoke with strong irritating diesel smell.and when car is ticking over even when hot exhaust looks clean, but smells strongly and burns eyes.leaking nozzle?

You could have a stuck injector
How to check if injector is stuck and more importantly which one?anyone?
You could perform an injectors leak back test: disconnect the return hoses on the top of injectors and insert in each injectors a suitable tube; put the other side of the tube in a measuring cup and start the engine. Let it idleling for 1 min.
Each injector could leak max 25ml/min. If you find an injector that leaks much more or much less than others you find the culprit. |
