2.5 crd intake cleaninh

Hi chaps!I am having smoking problem with my crd.its mostly greyish smoke.was told that intake could be clogged up.i have tried cleaning it with egr cleaner sprayed inside manifold with extention pipe and leaving it to soak couple of hours then started, but still have smoking problem.i want to remove intake and clean it off engine.anyone done it before?

Greyish smoke is the symptom of a probably bad injector(S). What mileage? Never refurbished injectors?
A clogged (uncommon) intake mainfold could generate a black smoke due to less air, rough idle, poor performance...

I think you,re right man.i refurbed nr 1 and become better.by the way economy is quite poor.about 8.9 ltr.

Nice to hear. 8,9 L/100km? It's a good value. Mine is 9,7 in the TRAFFIC of Rome!! ;)

that is more motorway and little traffic combined figure, however computer shows less about 10-20 percent.that leads me to injectors as well.
