2.5 crd Rear cranck shaft seal
 

Greetings fine people of the forum.

What do you know about this seal? after asking mot guys to look for the cause of a fairly bad oil leak, he tells me a lot of oil from around the turbo and gearbox area. Does this sound like the crankshaft seal and if so does anyone know of a good chrysler mechanic in the northwest as i dont fancy this one!:eek:

p.s any idea how much this is gona cost me?

I wouldn't expect oil from the rear crank seal to show up around the turbo area, but if it's a lot of oil in can be a bugger to spot where it's coming from. Suggest you go to a truck place where they have ramps and ask them to steam clean the underside and back of the engine so you can get a better idea of where it's coming from.
