2000 T&C 3.8 po107 po108

My 2000 T&C 3.8 started running horribly. Irractic idle, intermittant dying at idle. On the expressway it would run fine for a few minutes before it would start stalling out, it even died a few times.

The original code was po107 - MAP pressure circuit low input

Replaced the MAP sensor - now recieving the same po107 code but now also receiving po108- which says MAP pressure circuit high input

As far as expressway driving, it has done fine although I haven't driven it long enough, IMO,to know for sure those issues are gone.

But at an idle -the tach is still irractic and it sometimes dies out. It may take me 3 or 4 cranks to get it restarted.

Someone told me to continue to drive it, as it may take a few drive cycles in order for the computer to recognize the new sensor. Is this a load of crap or should I give it a go?

Are there any other issues that could cause this trouble codes?

It's 115 degrees outside and I am tired of sitting out in this heat dealing with this. Not to mention breaking down on the highway with two young kids is scary.

Any advice or tips would be so so so much appreciated! Thanks :)
