2000 TNC Rear A/C

The rear a/c in our van is blowing hot air, but the front a/c is frigid. Is there a valve that stops the freon flow to the back a/c or is it a differnt freon system? I looked around the underneath of the van and did not see any extra fittings along the lines. I also removed the right rear interior cover and found the fan, but didn see any a/c fittings. Any one else experience this problem?

Most likely due to a bad expansion valve at the rear evaporator. Youll have to take it somewhere to have the system evacuated and recharged to replace the expansion valve.

RE: 2000 TNC Rear A/C

Had this very same problem just last month. Thought the same thing on the TXV. Turned out that wasn't it. Was low on R-134a. Had system vacuumed, and recharged (with dye added). Seems to be working fine now. Long story on this for why this symptom, so if you need to know, just post back here.

Thanks!

Fred
