2000 town and country won't start

2 weeks ago while I was driving, my van died out while going about 50mph and would turn over, but not start. We had it towed home, and my husband changed the fuel filter and fuel pump. Before changing the pump, he could hear that it was not turning on. After changing it, the van started up and ran beautifully-for 3 days. Today, I went out and got in the van and again it turned over, but would not start. This time my husband said he can hear the fuel pump running. What could the problem be this time?

Could still be a bad pump. Check fuel pressure both as cranking and after sitting a few hours. Should see 49 psi. Which engine?

The biggest one...not sure what that is but I remember my husband saying it was the biggest of the three that are in these vans.

Should be the 3.8 ltr and you should have a test port on the fuel rail to connect a fuel pressure gauge you get get on loan from AutoZone or the like.
