2001 T&C Radio/CD
Multiple strange problems with radio and 4 disc CD. After getting a jump start from AAA the CD player is invisible to the radio, and the CD lights all blink the entire time the van is running. Can not eject any of the 4 CDs. Fried? Also the Tape Deck is invisible to the radio!
When the radio plays, turning the volume control often causes the radio to cut out. Turning the radio off/on, or changing form AM to FM will restore the sound.
90% of the time when starting the van the clock and radio displays are dark and nothing happens by turning the radio off/on, changing stations, etc. to make the clock/radio come on. The graphic equalizer lights may or may not flash continuously while the radio isn't working. Magically, after anywhere from 5 minutes to two hours of driving the Clock will display 12:00. The radio will turn on defaulting to AM station 530. All the presets are saved so pressing the button will tune in the station. BUT, there is no volume until the radio is turned off and back on! Multiple engine stops/starts will not usually make the clock/radio work. It just happens on a random basis.
Even odder, once out of 20 times when the clock display returns it will have kept time (did not default to 12:00).
Want radio to work, and can live with no CD player. Suggestions? Thank you.
