2002 TnC Heat issues (blend door?)
Hey all,
I have a 2002 TnC Touring ed 3.8cyl and My vehicle when warm driving or not, it will blow hot, but then after a few min go to cold. then a bit later go to hot, and so forth. I was told its more liekly my blend door that broke. Does anyone know or have had this issue before and possibly have instructionshow to do this? possibly replace/repair the blend door and so one? maybe pictures as well? I have searched online but very difucult to find. any help would be appreciated. |
b4 u go hog wild in taking apart a dash that u dont want to have u checked the basics first? is the coolant level up to the top in the radiator? do u have auto or manual ac control head?

Collant level is fine, and I have a manual AC unit. I havent checked though if the back stays warm or also cools, i have dual climate control. This van is amazing. i started just now having problems with it and im at 149K and its some what minor things. the window motors need replacing, the tail gate wont auto open or close (motor works i hear it try to open) the motor blower speed of AC/heat only blows on high, ( i need to replace the resistor and motor blower fan, tried a new resistor and it wentbad too. was told the blower fan needed replacing) so I have things on my list, but little by little I works, the motor is strong.

ok U have manual temp control which means the doors only move when u tell them to with the knob so unless U have a ghost turning the knobs its not a door issue plus dual knobs means 2 different and separate blend air doors so who ever told u that does not have a single clue about what the system works like and dont take advise from people that simply guess.
I say u have a broken thermostat if the coolant level is correct |
it was replaced a few months ago brand new. however, unless it went bad already, which sounds odd?
so the thermostat would make my heat blow hot, then cold, then hot again? I will take a peak, thanks for your help!
