2003 town and country starter installation

It's time to have a new chrysler town and country starter.
I have bought a new town and country starter replacement from Hex auto.
Can I install it myself ?
I see some posts said that can't do it yourself because it requires special tools according to service manual.
It has been used for 5 years and I couldn't find my manual here.
If I asked a mechanic for help, the labor cost is about $100 per hour.
I am thinking it couldn't be that difficult,right ?
Have you ever installed a starter replacement by yourself?
If so,how long did you take and what special tools do I need ?
Pls advice.
Thank you.

Depends on how mechanically inclined you are. And it does require a few more tools than a hammer, screwdriver and a pair of pliers! Need to remove the front mount bracket, and work from underneath the van to do the starter replacement. Jack and jack stands would be VERY helpful. Compare the costs of tool/ equipment purchases you may need to the cost of 1 hr labor to do the job!

If you like DIY project and have enough time,
find some useful youtube videos online and get ready for hammer as well as jack ,then have a try.
Typical book time for a starter swap is 1-2 hours.
Good luck.
