2003 voyager WON'T START

HI ALL, Our 2003 voyager 2.5 D, Won't start when you clutch it but will start on a jump, the clutch is sliping a bit would this be the cause ??

By clutching it I assume you mean pushing/towing the car up to about 10 mph putting it in 2nd gear and letting the clutch out. If so most modern cars won't start by by this method.

The ecu won't inject fuel until it detects the starter being activated and the crank shaft position sensor detects at least one revolution of the engine.

you have to push the clutch in to start the car and when i clutch it it wont start, but i rolled it and it jumped started

1 of the clutch switches may have gone bad or the connectors have come loose. theres a clutch pedal interlock switch and a clutch pedal upstop switch. i assume both conenctors are just 2 pins, disconnect the connectors and check for continuity with the switch in/out

its attached to the bracket the clutch pedal is attached to, take off the trim panel under the steering wheel and the panel behind that.

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick.....I didn't know you have to push the clutch in on the manual to start it as mine's an auto.

The switch on the pedal sounds like its worth checking.
