Default 2005 2.8 Grand voyager starting issues

Good morning.
The car above is starting on the key runs for about 5 seconds then cuts out. I have used both keys and both do the same.
it is like when you use a non chipped key.

once started and stopped if I try to start again it just turns over. However if I lock and unlock the car it starts for 5 seconds then cuts out?

any ideas on testing would be helpful or any similar problems any one had.

thank you

I had the same problem after fitting a new fuel filter. The new filter wasn't sealing properly and was leaking diesel thus allowing air in. It would start and run for just a few seconds then cut out.
