2005 T&C stalling when full

First off, a big hello, new member here, looking to hopefully get some help and provide good feedback to others.

On to the chase, my GF has a 2005 T&C, 3.8L auto with 150k miles on it. Runs like a champ, except when you fill the tank with fuel. If you fill it up, it will stall out on you. But if you take it for a nice 5 mile run then she is good. Doesn't matter if you 'top it off' as full as it can go or stop on the first click of the pump. I've replaced the fuel filter and no help. The T&C has other small issues, but I will post them in different threads.
Thank you all for the help and ideas!

There is a ball check valve in the tank that is supposed to close as you fill the tank. This valve prevents fuel from backing into the EVAP system charcoal canister. If it doesn't seal fuel gets in the canister. The engine is looking for fuel VAPORS from the EVAP system at startup. Not raw fuel. It floods the engine and the engine stalls. Sad thing is the check valve is built into the fuel tank. The tank has to be replaced to fix it.
