2005 T&C Sticky Throttle

Hi Gang,
Thanks in advance for any help. I have a 2005 T&C with a 3.8L. On light throttle tip in the pedal seems to hang and takes a little bit of force to push it down. It comes and goes, there are times that its worse than others, can't seem to tell if its weather related or not. Interesting thing is that this only happens while engine is running. If I am driving down the road and turn the engine off, the throttle no longer sticks. Could this be a coked up throttle valve that is getting pulled tight in the throttle body by engine vacuum? I have not checked into this in more detail. I just wondered if there happened to be a tech on here that has seen this before.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks!

RE: 2005 T&C Sticky Throttle

if u have some mileage on the van over 30k then i would say to start out with a throtle body cleaning. Gunk gets where the blade is only .02mm from the outside of the trotle body so stuff will make it stick from time to time. Clean it out and try then.
