2007 Chrysler T&C 3.8 Touring fuel gauge issue

Going down the road and my van cut off. Towed it home and the fuel pump was bad. Put in a new one. Van runs great. Fuel gauge however doesn’t work now. Worked fine with old pump. Figured something was wrong with sending unit on new pump so they gave me another one. Put in second new one and same thing. Runs fine but gauge doesn’t work. First replacement stayed at full until and would gradually go to half. Second new pump reads empty at all times. Getting ready to put it another pump because check valve has gone bad and getting tired of cycling key before starting it. Was wondering if anyone has any ideas to check while I have the tank down?

If I remember right , there is a calibration mode with Scan Tool to get it right. Never seen any with this problem.

Can't you just change the pump and use the old housing/sending unit. I has don this manny times on older models to save money.

I was thinking the software issue too but when I checked it seems that the software related problem originated with the gauge not reading right. My gauge was fine. My problem was the pump itself. My original pump is long gone. I changed it originally about three years ago. Just been dealing with it. Then about a year ago the check valve went out so I finally ordered another pump.
