2007 T&C Touring UNKNOWN Pin Code

After recent purchase of a used 2007 T&C Touring, we are unable to get another 6-button key programmed. An auto locksmith spent over two hours trying everything he could, but, the PIN code (obtained from a service for $38) for our VIN is invalid.

Can a dealer do a deep scan to recover the current PIN code and program another 6-button key? Will the dealer have to reprogram the entire system to generate a known valid PIN code, etc?

Any first-hand experience or knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi maxvan,

I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further assistance. Please let me know if you would like me to follow up with them for you!

Thank you for your reply. However, it's two hours to the Chrysler service dealer, so I'm seeking first-hand experience, from an owner or mechanic, with this issue.

Follow up and resolution! We took the day off and spent it going to the dealer (and stocking up for the winter). The dealer was able to program the new 6-button key, so the original locksmith's attempts were thwarted by a lack of the correct scanner(s), not an incorrect PIN code. The dealer charged less than $60 to program the new key, which was purchased on eBay. A great relief to have a backup key! (We certainly required no assistance in making an appointment with the dealer!)
