2008 T&C dash indicator light issue(s)

Hey guys,

A new problem with our van if anyone can help. The wife started the van today and after about 10 seconds, four dash error symbols illuminated and there was a beep tone that was heard once to indicate there were error messages active on the dash. The indicator symbols lit were: BRAKE, ABS, ESP BAS, and the traction control symbol (the car with the snake shaped skid marks behind it).
Can anyone tell us what's going on and what to look at from here? Thanks very much.

Any thoughts from anyone?

All related to ABS / brakes. My starting point is always an ABS module on one of the wheels.

Sounds like it and hopefully the cheapest repair. Try Flee-bay.

Could connect a scanner capable of reading ABS codes. The code may lead you right to it.

QinteQ - "ABS module on one of the wheels" Did you mean wheel speed sensor on one of the wheels?

HiYa
Raptor 07 , yeh we call em a passive modules or sensor, its just the usual permanent magnet around which a copper wire coil is wound the ABS reluctor ring on the CV joint rotates, the teeth create a small inductive voltage in the copper windings. This voltage signal is monitored by the vehicle ECU (vehicle's computer) and used as wheel speed information.

And, of course since you guys replied, the four indicator symbols have gone out! Still no codes as per using the ignition key method. It did have a situation for awhile about a month ago where one tire was reading low pressure and the low pressure symbol illuminated on the dash as well as the pressure number was blinking on the dash as well. Apparently there was a slow rim leak from corrosion which the tire shop cleaned up. BUT, the tire pressure has dropped again, yet the indicator light has not come on and the tire pressure is not blinking on the dash. Don't know if this could be related to the 4 light issue. Any thoughts about the most recent situation for us? We don't need any surprises while driving safetywise. Thanks again fro your input.

There are 4 different types of codes[P = Powertrain B = Body C = Chassis U = Undefined], the only type you can get on the 'keydance' are of no use to you as they do not deal with ABS. To get the proper codes you will need a decent code reader. Look it could be anything from corrosion to wiring to dirty tone ring to dirty sensor but all 4 in your #1 say look at the ABS wheel sensor.
