2008 T&C Torque request denied code

I have a 2008 T&C Limited 4.0L that has recently thrown a c121c code (Torques Request Denied). The ESP light comes on, thorttle shuts off, power steering goes out as does power brakes. Dealership has no clue and cannot replicate the issue. This ha occurreed 4 times in the last month. The fix is simple, you restart the van. However, when this occurs going 45 MPH down the highway, it becomes a little hard to control.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

c121c in Town and country error

Did you ever get this figured out? I am having the same problem and since it is random and they can't get it to replicate at the dealership no luck in fixing it.

Same problem with my 2007. I hope someone can guide me where to start looking.

Interesting one this, DTC Diagnostic Trouble Code c121c. Related to problems with the Powertrain Control Module or the Anti-lock Brake Module. What does it do, well shuts everything down when traveling along, bad fault and dangerous. Not accrued with this vehicle though. Fault though needs to be present when using scan equipment to get the answer. So what can shut down an engine intermittently, ABS sensor don't think so. A sensor, well that would just draw up a fault code, what about crank sensor. Would one of those dirty connectors under the Battery cause shut down, worth checking. Might be talking low voltage connections here, soldier joint, like in a Module. Its one of these secret faults that no one gets to know the answer.

Oh how I hate these electrical issues. Thanks goggs.

From what I can find and testing relates too, the PCM is either bad or there's a wire shorted to ground between PCM and ABS module. There's a Testing procedure in just an answer.

I can think of one person for this wiring fault and that's Richard on here. I remember him finding wiring faults in the past so maybe he knows of where these wires may chaff, break or earth,

In my case, this was due to a clogged/faulty EGR valve. They replaced it and haven't had an issue since.

Anyone ever figure this out? I have same code C121C on my 2015 Town and Country. Only mine only sets this code after it sets P0369. I spent $1600 at the dealer on that P0369 and it still not fixed. Then this C121C started happening. It does nothing dangerous, except throws it into Limp Mode, and it slows down and has no power. I can kick it up in neutral while going down the road, and cut the engine off, then restart , then drop it back in gear. Lights go off, and everything goes back to normal for about another 20 miles. Then the P0369 will set, and then the C121C will set. And................all this is at random times. Sometimes it will go two weeks without either one setting.
