2013 Chrysler T&C drivers heated seat not working

So abit strange (because I don't understand). The drivers side seat heater only works if you're not sitting in it! If you're sitting - the lite will stay on then turn off after 2 sec's (no heat). If you're not sitting in it - the lite will stay on and the seat heats up with not problem. As soon as you sit in it - the lite goes out...

All the other seats working fine.

Is there some sensor that's malfunctioning to cause it to shut off the heater once you apply weight (sit down)

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Check the wiring harness which comes from the HSM module under the driver seat. You must look for the connector C2. Pin 1 TN/YL is the temp sensor, Pin 3 TN/WT ground and Pin 4 LG/BR is the left front heater pad (cushion and recliner). The 3 wirings goes to a gray connector between cushion and recliner which connects HSM and pad of recliner with the cushion pad + temp sensor. Check for a broken wire.

Hello Jan, I recently have the same issue in my 2012 T&C. Did you ever get it fixed? If so, what was the issue causing this to happen? Thanks.

Anyone find a resolution for this? My 2013 T&C drivers seat isn't heating..... the light comes on for a few seconds (sometimes a little longer) but then shuts off. So frustrated, going to get cold sooner then later. help!!

Refer to post#2 by member s.m.. He says what and where to check. And IMO is usually either the electric heat pad under the leather or wire connections to the seat being poor from long term extreme movement to adjust to different drivers.

Good Luck!

Did you get your seat fixed?

I am having the same issues when that you click the button it turns right off again. When remote start turns on the heated seat works completely fine once you start the car it clicks off.
We are looking for any suggestions. It sounds like a relay
