2015 T&C Remote Start Disabled
Hi, my remote start is not working anymore on my 2015 Chrysler Town and Country. Last week my dashboard said my key fob had a low battery. I had not changed the battery yet and the remote start stopped working. It will start but the engine will run for 10 seconds then shut off. The dashboard says the remote start is disabled, start to reset. But restarting does not seem to reset anything. I've changed the battery in the key and it still does not work. Also the Malfunction Indicator Light is now on in the dsahboard. Any idea on how to fix this issue?
From the owners manual:
Remote Starting will also cancel if any of the following occur:
- The engine stalls or engine speed exceeds 2500 rpm
- Any engine warning lights come on
- The hood is opened
- The hazard switch is pressed
- The shift lever is moved out of PARK
- The engine is allowed to run for the entire 15-minute cycle
- The engine stalls or engine speed exceeds 2500 rpm
- Any engine warning lights come on
- The hood is opened
- The hazard switch is pressed
- The shift lever is moved out of PARK
- The engine is allowed to run for the entire 15-minute cycle
A stop at any Autozone, Advance Auto, O'Rielly's parts store will scan and read out those codes for free and make suggestions as to what it COULD be for free. You should also post those code(s) here for more help from members here.

Hello alan822,
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

As long as the check engine lamp (CEL) is not flashing the vehicle can be driven. Many auto parts stores will read the diagnostic trouble codes if staff is available so it can be determined what is being reported and causing the CEL to be lit.
As long as the CEL is lit, remote starting will be cancelled.
