62TE Transmission Issues - Limp Mode - P0732, P0735, P07092 & P1790

I Have a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring w/ 4.0L V-6 w/ 62TE Transmission.

i was driving home from work and my speed dropped down to @40MPH @ 4500RPM got home and put my scanner on it and pulled these 4 codes. and saw Limp Mode Set

P0732: Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0735: Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio
P0792: Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P1790: Fault Immediate After Shift

Any ideas where to start ?

ECM? Sensor? Internal Issue? Solenoid Pack?

Hi @techguy42069

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 and I have only the same 4 codes.

P0732: Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0735: Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio
P0792: Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P1790: Fault Immediate After Shift

my car has started to shift bad during low speeds around between 30 and 40 mph.

And also stalling for randomly and has stalled on the highway going 60 mph.

Chrysler 2009 Transmission 62TEissues

Hi, I still have in my garage with a Rejection sticker! But, I changed almost ALL the sensors and it runs great. Mine was 2nd and 4th gear. I changed the gear ratio sensor, the upspeed sensor , the down speed sensor and another. 2 are on the top of the Transmission. But there are also 2 that change what are problem is. They don't tell you where it is.I found them under the left front tire. you have to remove the tire.to get to them and the are a tight squeeze. So it the crankshaft speed sensor on top on the back that is under an exhaust pipe. Mine started doing it due to too much weight in it from moving. It messed it up. There's also 1 big 1 directly under the Tranny but mine is all rusted and no-one can tell me what it is or does. So I have to take it out and look for a number to replace that. That should change your issues but you may still have it in 1st gear instead as I do now. .At least it's now drivable and runs like a Caddy. But there's another just where the main wire harness goes into your tranny called the TRS . I have heard changing that fixes the issue also if all others fail. but try all the sensors 1st. I did it myself as I have always done and I'm not a mechanic. Just a carpenter,
Let me know. You can find the parts cheapest at advanced auto. I tried buying them all over, Ebay, others cost so much. They used to cost just $7 a piece, now near $30. Good luck.

Anyone with these codes and symptoms have a 100% fix? Research seems to point to internal slippage and/or compounder issues.
I have those 4 codes and limp mode now, but at one time I also had a code P0882, which is transmission power solenoid voltage low. I replaced with a used TIPM and that code went away but still have the 4 codes in this thread and the van will eventually go into limp mode. I can clear codes and van will run ok for a little while but eventually will fail again.
