'97 Grand Voyager air conditioning not working

I've browsed these threads and done some of the things suggested, but nothing actually fits my situation, so I'm hoping for advice.
Only had the Voyager since March and absolutely love it. however, the a/c doesn't blow cold. I have jumped the two terminals in the relay and the compressor clicks, but there is no cold then when I start it up. Is is simply the case of needing to have the gas pressure checked (I'm not very familiar with a/c I'm afraid)?
If it needs refilling, are there any special instructions to give to the garage about coolant etc?
Thanks for any help in advance

Hi There

My advice on this is get the A/C recharged there are many places that do this and they can also check for leaks.... and no there are no special instructions that you need to give the garage about the cooling system as they are 2 separate systems i believe Kwick Fit will do it if your in the Uk or Any A/C specialist take it to any one of them and they will sort it out for you

Thanks - by coolant, I meant refrigerant. I only have the manual in German (I'm in the Czech Republic) and I think I read something about having to be careful about what refrigerant to use? But I may be wrong.)
I'll get someone to look at it.

Hi There

All that will happen is that they will remove all the refrigerant then check for leaks then replace it its all done automatically by the machine..... They just connect the pipes and the machine does the rest ive had it done many times on different cars including the voyager it takes about a hour tops
