98 T&C stuck brakes
My T&C brakes locked up and started smoking. Replaced rotors and pads. Tested and everything looked good. After 15 miles , brakes got hard again. Brake pedals were hard. Brakes smoked again.
Now, I'm stuck trying to figure out what the issue might be. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

ok U did not say that in the first post only rotors and pads.
now start looking at the booster and master cyl area |
I'm no expert on hydralic brakes but is it possible its ABS related?
The ABS unit not allowing fluid to return to the master cyclinder, is this possible? |
the fluid only goes through the abs when the abs is needed the system works with or with out abs.

It's not something silly like the pedal won't return to the top for some reason, seized top pivot on the pedal arm for example?
I've had reports of poor brakes or loss of power when the fault has been the floor mats bunched up under the pedals! Other than that and as CHRYSLER TECH says its not the ABS then I'd recon its the master cylinder. as i said i'm no expert on hydralic brakes but from what i remember if the servo [booster] fails it just gives you no assistance. |
