ABS Light problem

Hi - 2002 Grand Voyager 2.5 Diesel, ABS light has come on, it went out when I stopped & re-started the engine which then resulted in only about 10% braking efficiency, the car pulled to the right & it sounded like the ABS cut in about 25 meters later the ABS light came back on & the brakes worked fine. Any one got any clues to what the problem might be ?.

- starting point is what you can yourself do Pat
- most times its a plastic covered sensor on one of the wheels, usually the front
- pull the wheel do a physical look - it only takes 5 minutes and a grain of sand @ 70MPH to make it look like a badgers arras
- the other one is rust on and between the counting teeth on the outer joint

If its not a sensor it gets complicated

- start by typing '''abs sensor''' in the search box top right of the page and reading what others have thought !
