Air Con not cold

Hi All,
I suspect this is a simple one, but wouldn't mind somebody else casting their opinions please.

I've got a Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8CRD 2004 exec edition, and now its heading to summer (I've owned the car since last October, so not that long) I noticed on a hot day recently the little AC light came on (The snowflake) on the A/C display, I'm assuming this means it kicked the air con in to cool the car.

However, no cold air came out the vents. So the next day I set the A/C to the lowest setting, put blowers on full and manually put the Air Con on (snowflake button). Again, no cold air, just what felt like outside ambient air.

I'm suspecting it needs re-gassing as the car has done over 100,000 miles now and cannot see this on any service info.

Should I just get it re-gassed, or should I be checking elsewhere first?

Thanks for any tips/hints guys.

Sounds like what happened to my previous (non-Chrysler) car. Yes, just get it re-gassed, but check with your supplier to make sure they will refund if they find a leak.

Cheers

GL.

My van blows out better by hitting the button that looks like a vehicle. It's for either recirculating the air or having it come from outside. Might be a fluke

Cheers,
Yeah my thoughts too, good point on the re-gassing and refund if a leak is found!

abj63 on the recirc button, I used to find that on my last car, I believe its when the air con is starting to loose its 'cool', but by re-circulating you're cooling the air already in the car, that is already, in theory, cooler than outside/ambient.
