Air getting into line

Hi,
Can anyone help with this one, i have a 2006 voyager tourer 2.5 crd for the past couple of month had problems starting the motor, changed glow plugs then fuel filter, now the motor just refuses to start off the key. Starts ok from a bump and runs sweet as a nut with no power loss, can do 100mile but turn it off and it wont start again engine spins fine. Check the primer pump and it needs bleeding every time i turn it off. I have taken off the fuel filter housing with the heater plug inside cleaned it and replaced bled the pump started fine turn it off and it struggled to start when it did start i left it running for and hour turn it off leave it for 20 min car wont start. This is sending me potty!! Has anyone come across this or know of anyone.

Its either air getting in the fuel Priming Pumps Diaphragm or via a cracked fuel filter casing..I'll go for the Priming Pump.

as a quick fix, try fitting a simple non-return valve close to the injection pump. Don't think the fuel will be able to drain through the IP and down the return line.

Thanks for advice, i have found the fault, it was the fuel filter housing, once removed use an alum key to open the 2 halves and there is a sunken seal. When i took it out there was calcification on the underside, cleaned and a little red gasket seal and problem solved. Only took 2 months to find.
