Another Aircon Problem

Off to Spain and France soon but discovered that my aircon isn't working. I had it re-gassed yesterday but the guy who did that work said there was no power getting to the compressor. He 'd checked the fuses and all OK but that's as far as he wanted to go with it. I've got it booked in with an auto electrician on Monday but in the meantime does anybody know what could possibly cause this problem?

Get the air con fault codes read. There are lots of reasons that air con module won't send power to the compressor clutch.

Regards
Richard

Thanks Richard, presumably the auto elctrician will do that on Monday. They were recommended to me by my regular garage and the company who re-gassed the aircon and they are only 2 miles from where I live.

Edit: or will the keydance reveal any aircon fault codes?

nope, only engine faults I'm afraid

So after spending £120 with the auto electrician, it turns out to be the compressor after all. Not enough time to have a compressor fitted so we'll just have to drive with the windows open during our holiday.
