Bye bye trusted old Grandvoyager ....
Sold the car today and feel sad to see him go.
This car was one of the nicest and thrustworthiest cars I ever had.
I would like to thank this forum and its great participants for the incredibly good technical advice I recieved over the last few years.
As a Chrysler/ Dodge Minivan owner for the last 24 years of having at least 1 of the type in my possession, I feel the agony of finally saying "farewell" to an old friend! May your new ride prove out to be just as good (or better) for you! Just remember, VW had the first really popular (worldwide) MINIVAN, so they do know a "thing or two" also!
GOOD LUCK and ENJOY the new wheels!
Now listen hear I've had enough of this bubbling, flag waving, commendations and and emmm...WTF...Yeh ok if you must go, I hope you get on well and prosper till an old age...Not like me that is...Just got to get the right vehicle as there is loads out there that may leave you with no hair...So Good Luck...
I scrapped my first one and lasted a year before getting another one.
Unfortunately, I'm back to thinking she has to go.
We've got a caravan now, and I don't like the GV for towing. Hoping to move job too, so would need something better on fuel (Dumfries, 128 mile round trip).
Then someone has ran into the side of me yesterday. Cars just scraped, but think it might be a write off if done through the insurance.
So I think my GV days are numbered as well.
That's a cracking looking VW you've got though, all the best.
I can 'feel your pain' at selling! One of our favorite vehicles has been the 1999 Grand Caravan we bought in 2001. It's still running well with only 175-80K miles, handles fairly well, has given us few problems; unfortunately - the paint job looks like crap from sitting in the OK sun most of its life. That fix is near the top of my to-do list for this year!
