can someone recommend a company in the uk that does lpg conversions

I have posted about this before, but the mileage the way it is and the cost of petrol the way it is I have decided to go for an LPG conversion. I have worked the numbers and it does make sense. Now prices range from about a grand to just under two. It seems the further south I go the cheaper it becomes (I am in Glasgow). I am looking for a recommendation (not necessarily the cheapest) If it works out cheaper to travel south to get it and stay overnight or whatever I would consider it. So can anyone recommend a system and or installer? Thanks Robert.

Gasure did a VW LT I had once upon a time, they're recommended highly in the national VW community that I come from - worth giving them a call.

I had a gas conversion done, and unless you pay for the direct injection, multi-jet, don't bother, but you would still be talking £1500-1700 for a decent install.

Plus, unless your car is running right, don't bother.

Look into it very carefully. As far as I am aware, the government kept the duty low on LPG in an attempt to get people to convert to it, and there was a promise that the price differential between LPG and petrol would be maintained for at least 5 years. That period has now passed, which means that a government could decide to close the gap in costs, in which case, the figures would look so good - and you'd lose a chunk of boot space into the bargain.

When I bought my car and converted in 2004, it was 30p a litre, now I am lucky to find it for close to 60p
