Central locking inoperative

Hello,
I have a 2005 Voyager 2.4 petrol and the central locking does not work. It does however function properly if you disconnect the car battery and leave for 10 mins. If you then drive the car for a little while the central locking becomes inactive.
Any ideas would be appreciated about how to rectify?
Thank you,
Paul

Hi
Yes there is a software update for the body control module for this issue. You need to go to your dealer and have it updated.

Thanks for info Merlin,
I have been to the Dealer today and they do not recognise this issue. They want to charge me £97.50 for initial investigation.
If it is a recognised issue, any ideas on how to tackle this without paying out for an unnecesary investigation charge?
I did get one issue sorted by the dealer which was the airbag light. They have agreed to change the crash sensor to rectify this as it was a recall.
Your expertise is appreciated.
Thank you.

try again giving them the TSB number 08-040-04 (shouldn't be that hard to find if they look) failing that drop me an e-mail merlingolem@aol.com and I will send you a copy of the TSB for you to print off and take with you.
Diagnostics "may be" required should the TSB not apply to your vehicle i.e your BCM is already up to date.
