RE: check engine codes

the computer will run the same test that turned it on 3 times and if it passes all 3 times it will turn off the light by itself. The van needs to go though 3 drive cycles 3 min running then let sit over night so basicly 3 days.

P0455-EVAP LEAK MONITOR LARGE LEAK DETECTED
try your gas cap first make sure its clicked 3 times. The look under the van on the driver side there are a set of hoses that like to crack and cause leaks. A black box with hoses in that area.

I know this is an old post but for a P0455, wouldn't it be a good idea to connect a vacume pump to the vacume connection of the LDP Vent valve and verify it holds between 15-20 in hg vacume and verify LDP vent valve operation as well?

RE: check engine codes

nope does not work like that the systems are NVLD which uses nature vac based off cooloing down of a volume of air over a given amount of time. If u add vac all it will do is show if the switch closes and the leaks that they mesure are .040 inch .020 inch thats not big what so ever.

It should be located on the passanger side near the top of the engine with a connector attached to it. PS dont unplug your batt to try and reset the codes. If the problem is fixed the computer will know it and turn it off for u. This is how u do that replace the part stasrt the van up let it run for 4 min do this 2 times. The go for a road test ooo 10 miles then cycle the key off then on again and it should turn off, dont worry if it does not all that mean is that the computer has to run the test at the same settings that the code was first set for if it has not cleared by a week then do the batt. Why i want u to do it that way is because the van will haft to learn how u drive all over again and your fuel economy will be bad for about a month untill it learns how u drive again.
Enjoy

in a previous post you said 9 out of 19 is the egr valve/solenoid, I'll replace mine and do these steps and hope it is one of the 9 so that I don't have to spend any extra cash.
