Check Engine Light - P0138
Hello,
I am intermittently getting a check engine light, it has come on twice in the last week. I did the key dance in my 2005 Grand Carvan (approx 69,000 KM) and got code P0138. P0138 Downstream O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage The only posting I saw says to stay away from Bosch O2 sensor and stick with NGK O2 sensors. Any other suggestions ? Should I change just the downstream sensor or change both at the same time ? Thanks |

Crazy CEL, is driving me crazy.
It was on all day Sunday, now it is off again! I wonder if the O2 sensor is flaky or I have a bad connection somewhere ? How long should I let this go, I was planning on taking into my local service shop (not a dealer) on this Friday ? Thanks Paul |
RE: Check Engine Light - P0138
if the cel starts to bink then u need it in yesterday if u go much longer like that then u will melt or damage your converter.

Thanks for the info, I will take it in tomorrow, so I can have the peace of mind and maybe save some money down the road.
Thanks Again. Paul |
