The check gauges light on my son's 94 voyager keeps switching on and off. He has noticed that the oil gauge does bottom out, but the two don't always coincide. This started happening the last time I changed oil, switched to a high-mileage synthetic (car has 196k on it). Can the oil be the problem, or is there another possible cause?
