chrysler socket to remove rotor
I want to remove the rotors on my 2007 town and country but i don't know the size of the socket that is behind the cotter pin. Does anybody here know the size of the socket and if its metric or sae? I have a 1/2 in torque wrench. Is there a certain torque when putting it back on?
Thanks for the help |
Those are "Lay over" rotors....they dont bolt on, and removing the cotter pin and nut WILL NOT help you...
Remove the caliper, and with a Hammer and wooden block, sharply hit it from the back. It will "POP-OFF" the hub...It is either stuck on the rust ...or if it is a rear rotor, it is stuck on the e-brake shoes. |
so the rotor slides right off???

Well ...not RIGHT off....A generous amount of penetrating oil, and a few good whacks should get them to pop off.
If these are rears..try loosening the parking brake adjuster......There will be a slot in the backing plate with a rubber insert..Just like the old days...... |
